Clients

Here are some examples of clients I serve and a bit about their technology issues.

Fr. Anthony DinotoChrist Church Guilford – Father Tony is the Interim Rector at Christ Church in Guilford, CT. He inherited an old and outdated web site with, as he put it, “not one single picture of a human being on it”. I helped him and the parish come up with a simple site design using a free WordPress template. I asked a designer friend of mine to come up with a color palette that used the Episcopal shield’s colors of light blue and red. I put the site together and it launched in spring of 2009. Fr. Tony and his parishioners have done a good job of keeping the content fresh. They typically send me changes and I put them into the site. We were able to save them some money every month by distributing the PDF newsletter on the web site as opposed to printing and bulk mailing it, which was an expense every issue. I also provide web hosting for this site.

Dana Moos – Photographer, Bed & Breakfast Food Blogger, realtor, web and graphic designer. I do the “techie” part of many of Dana’s projects. We’ve worked together on a Bed and Breakfast Food blog called MyDeliciousMornings.com as well as the Smugglers Cove site (see below) and have several other projects underway at the moment. I provide hosting for the sites and do research into various WordPress plugins and whatever technical issues we encounter.

Emrys Tetu – Holistic Health Counselor – Emrys has a site called WellnessWithFood.com that is hosted on an educational institution’s server and is redirected through an old hosting account. Together, we’re working to get her extricated from that previous web hosting and email contract and into a less costly arrangement using free Google apps email and a simple redirect on my server to her existing site. She also recently started a blog called “Emrys” at blogspot. I advised her on the pluses and minuses of different free blog hosting services. I’ve also hosted a few documents and audio files on my server for her.

Bill McFarland, Kim Swan, co-owners Smugglers Cove Inn, Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Like Fr. Tony, Kim and Bill inherited a very outdated and old web site. Dana Moos and I redesigned the site with a spiffy premium WordPress template and also took care of switching over the inn’s email to a free Google Applications account. I provide hosting for this site as well.
